Lauri Sue Robertson, who holds degrees in Social Work, Criminology and Human Resources, is a former prison guard, social worker and human resources manager. After becoming disabled by arthritis, Lauri Sue joined Handidactis in 1995 as the Vice President of Operations, developing and delivering disability awareness training and site audits throughout Canada and in the U.S.  After Handidactis closed its' training division in 2006, she became the owner and President of Disability Awareness Consultants.

Lauri Sue is an expert resource on the accommodations needed by those who live with visual, physical, intellectual, psychiatric  and learning disabilities, as well as chemical sensitivities, facial differences and issues of people who are Deaf or hard-of-hearing.  She lives with multiple health issues, including a seizure disorder, and is acutely aware of the difficulties of managing invisible disabilities that make people uncomfortable.  Lauri Sue, in her cheerful, open and welcoming style will answer the questions and concerns of all your employees.

Lauri Sue's clients include government agencies, banks, hospitals, major corporations and private industry. She has developed and delivered extensive training programs in the banking, tourism, entertainment, and transportation sectors, and provided site audits in retail, hospitality, manufacturing, hospitals, tourism, recreation and office environments.
